Janis Joplin has come to represent the excesses of the 60s. But there were many different sides to this complicated woman.  Well talk with cultural historian Alice Echols.  Shes the author of an acclaimed biography of Janis Joplin. Echols' book is "Scars of Sweet Paradise: The Life and Times of Janis Joplin."

Joe Brancatelli returns to the show to talk with Todd about the travel industry. He talks about great deals to Europe.  He predicts what will happen in the airline industry if the economy continues to worsen, and how possible strikes will affect the traveler.  Brancatelli is the travel advisor for "The Todd Mundt Show" and biztravel.com.
