President of the United Network for Organ Sharing, Jeremiah Turcotte, talks with Todd about the number of organs that are donated each year, and why there is a shortage of donors in the United States.

Todd talks with biologist Louise Emmons, who recently discovered a new species of rat in the Peruvian Andes. She talks about finding "Cuscomys ashaninka", and the science of locating and naming new species. Emmons is a research associate at the Division of Mammals at the Smithsonian's National Museum of History.

Thousands of the Grateful Dead's audio and videotapes are preserved in a carefully guarded vault overseen by archivist David Lemieux. He talks with Todd about monitoring the collection, and keeping the Dead's archives in good condition. He talks about the materials kept in the vault, and the recent Grateful Dead box set he's produced.
