Todd is joined by Mark Borowsky of the James P. Johnson Foundation. Borowsky tells Todd how University of Michigan Music Professor James Dapogny restored performances of the one-act opera, "De Organizer." The blues opera was written by jazz pianist and composer James P. Johnson, and poet/novelist Langston Hughes.

Todd talks to Simon During about magic. During, who holds the Robert Wallace Chair in English at the University of Melbourne, explains why he thinks that magic has helped shape modern culture. During is author of "Modern Enchantments."
